Bucks County Courier Times and the Intelligencer Newspaper in Education Poetry Contest in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit Art CollectionThe annual Newspaper In Education (NIE) Design an Ad Contest will feature a new category this year featuring a poetry contest. “Write a Poem” is open to all schools in the circulation area of the Bucks County Courier Times and the Intelligencer. The contest is an opportunity for teachers to offer their students a chance to study various pieces of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit Art Collection. Then have them express their thoughts about one of the paintings in the form of a poem.The contest will be open to grades K-12. Winners will be selected in both the Bucks County Courier Times and The Intelligencer circulation areas. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony in April and the winning poems and ads will be featured in special student publications.
